กิจกรรมตักบาตรท้องน้ำนั้นจะจัดในช่วงเช้า 8 นาฬิกา ณ หน้าวัดสุวรรณาราม ในวันเพ็ญขึ้น 15 ค่ำ เดือน 12 ซึ่งตรงกับวันลอยกระทง  พระสงฆ์จะออกบิณฑบาตรโดยเรือ ซึ่งจะมีประชาชนมาคอยตามด้านที่ชิดกับน้ำหรือนำเรือส่วนตัวออกมาเพื่อใส่บาตร โดยนอกเหนือจากนั้นยังมีกิจกรรมและการแสดงมากมายในวันนั้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการแสดงเพลงเรือ การแข่งกีฬาพื้นบ้าน เช่น มวยทะเลและพายเรือหัวใบ้ท้ายบอด อาจจะเรียกได้ว่ากิจกรรมตักบาตรท้องน้ำเป็นกิจกรรมที่สืบต่อกันมา เป็นกิจกรรมที่แสดงถึงเอกลักษณ์ของคลองมหาสวัสดิ์เลยก็ว่าได้
